Dyslexia Beyond Reading: How Struggle Shapes Confidence and Behavior

This talk explores how dyslexia shapes learning behavior, motivation, and self-concept. Drawing on patterns often identified in schema therapy, it shows how students’ explanations of their struggles influence confidence, social relationships, and classroom behavior. Participants will leave equipped to identify maladaptive patterns, understand their impact on learning and behavior, and use this awareness to make more informed decisions across different educational contexts.
